One of the best ways to understand how a disinformation campaign works is to put oneself in its author’s place. To this end, we created Tutki (‘to investigate’ in Finnish), a new platform that teaches information manipulation through controlled adversarial simulation.

Thanks to this platform, you can craft your own disinformation campaign in a secure, supervised environment. On Tutki, your privacy is preserved: you just need a six-character code to access your session.

Trainers can design information manipulation scenarios based on real-world tactics, either by building custom scenarios or by using a pre-built template provided by Tutki. Participants can then investigate five realistic social media simulations (Chirper, GramTel, MailBox, ToukTak and Tatagram) to identify suspicious content, bot accounts and coordinated campaigns. Tutki also provides professional OSINT tools for more in-depth analysis, including cross-platform searches, timeline analysis, network visualisation and CIB detection, to help uncover hidden patterns and coordinated campaigns.

CheckFirst empowers its partners to navigate today’s complex online information ecosystem and equips decisionmakers with customisable solutions to combat online harms.
