And what is the difference between science and practice when it comes to fact checking? During this interactive webinar, you will join us to discuss how to translate scientific research into concrete recommendations for factcheckers in practice.
BENEDMO researchers Michael Hameleers and Marina Tulin did research on how to write and shape a factcheck or news item in such a way that it reaches the right audience and does not contribute to polarization in the public debate. During the webinar, they present five evidence-based recommendations for correcting false information. Luc van Bakel leads VRT’s team on disinformation and fact checking. He will put these recommendations to the test by presenting some real-life examples and dilemmas.
The webinar will be held in English, online.
