Check First is proud to announce that it has joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) as a member. The IWF is an industry leader in combating child sexual abuse material and its vision to create an internet that is safe for children and adults profoundly resonates with our values.
As a company analysing threats to online information integrity, our goal is to foster a fair and secure digital information landscape that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, can navigate.
Conducting research on prevalent online harms often involves delving into potentially illegal content. We firmly believe that it is necessary to take proactive steps to preserve the dignity of victims of child sexual abuse as well as ensure the safety of our staff when undertaking such sensitive research. This partnership brings us one step closer to reducing access to child sexual abuse material online. We are confident that using IWF’s tools will further enable us to undertake research on sensitive topics such as minor safety in a safe and legally compliant environment.
